Frequently Asked Questions

If you have a question, it is possible that you will find the answer here in the FAQ section and as a result have the answer you require sooner than if you had to wait for me to reply to an email - remember I don't work 24/7 - although I do try ;)

Q: I have submitted an entry / sent you an email but haven't heard back from you. You don't seem to be replying to my emails - are you ignoring me?

A: When this happens you'll usually find that I have already replied to you and my replies have been marked as spam/junk by your email client. Check your junk/spam folder. I always reply to emails and certainly won't be ignoring you.

Also, please check my updates page to see if I have been unable to reply due to holidays or sickness.

Q: I have not received my race number / information pack yet.

A: First, please ensure that the number is actually being posted. Most races now opt for runners to collect their number at registration on the day to keep their costs down.

Please note that the numbers and/or race pack information are posted out directly from the race organiser - not UKForms - so I don't know where your number is either! To avoid delays, you should contact the race organiser directly. Check the online entry form for the race you wish to enquire about. The entry forms are hosted by UKResults on this link. If there are no contact details on the entry form, I'd suggest you Google the clubs' website and get in touch that way. Finally if all else fails, drop me an email and I'll try to help if I can.

Q: I can no longer run on the race day due to sickness, injury, family commitments etc. Can I have a refund?

A: Refunds are entirely at the discretion of the race organiser, not UKForms. Send me an email and I will pass your refund request on to them. Please be aware that refunds are seldom authorised due to the financial commitments that the Race Organiser encounters when arranging a race. I will pass on your request for a refund - but can't make any promises. Please don't shoot the messenger ;)

Refunds made for any reason will not include the UKForms administration fee you paid during the booking process. This is because UKForms is charged by Paypal and Nochex for both receiving your money AND refunding it back to you!

Q: I have submitted my entry but have realised that my address on paypal/nochex is out of date. Please can you amend the address on my entry.

A: It is the address that you provide on the online entry form that is passed on to the Race Organiser, not your Paypal/Nochex address, so you need take no action regarding your entry. You may however consider updating your address details for your own benefit.

Q: When will the results of my race be available for viewing?

A: UKForms only handles the processing of your online race entry. For online results, please visit UKResults or the running clubs website.

Q: I don't have a Paypal or Nochex account (and don't wish to sign up for one) can I still enter and pay?

A: Yes. As long as you have a credit/debit card you can pay by either Paypal (preferred) or Nochex. You do not need to have an account with them to pay, just click on the "Pay by card" option. Payments are securely handled by Paypal and Nochex and your card details are never passed on to me (or anybody else). I can also accept over the counter payment at any HSBC branch or if you have access to telephone or internet banking, I can accept a direct bank transfer. Please ask me for details if you wish to pay by one of these alternative methods. I do not accept payments by cheque.

Q: I'm not overly computer literate and don't understand your entry system. I just want to enter the race. Why should I register?

A: UKForms is designed to make your life easier when entering races. After an initial setup, your details will be stored enabling you to enter future races in no time at all. Answers to questions regarding initial setup and general use of the system can be found on the Guidance and Information page.

Q: I completed an online entry form a while ago via UKForms. I've since made payment and it has been refunded to me with a message that the race is full. Why hasn't my entry been honoured?

A: Submitting an online entry form DOES NOT guarantee you a place in an event. Only once you have paid AND received an entry confirmation email has your entry been successful. You cannot secure a place by submitting an entry form early and then decide at a later date if you are going to be fit enough to run and then make payment. PAID entries take priority over UNPAID entries!

Q: Your website says that you are withdrawing NoChex as a payment method. Why are you doing this and what if I don't have (or don't wish to sign up for) a PayPal account?

A: NoChex is being withdrawn as a payment method due to high payment processing costs. Nochex are more expensive to use than Paypal. So that I can continue to offer you the cheapest entry service possible, Nochex will be withdrawn in the near future. You do not need a Paypal account (nor do you need to sign up for one) to pay by Paypal - you can simply click the 'Pay by Card' option on the payment screen. Payments are safe and secure and neither I (nor anybody else) will get to see your card details.

Q: I am a Race Organiser and wish to find out more about your Online Enty Service.

A: Please see the Submit Your Event page of this website - I'd be delighted to be of service!
